Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging, our family friendly hotel, was built and operated on Cape Cod as a vacation lodging property by the Robert Pacheco Family from the early 1960’s to 1970. Robert, Betty and their daughters, Karen, Sharon and Gayle lived and worked on-premises in what is today “The Cottage” at Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging.
In 1970, Falmouth innkeepers, Terry and Blanca Dineen, purchased Green Harbor from the Pachecos. The Dineens also owned the year-round ShoreWay Acres Inn in Falmouth Village, which they founded in 1959. Milt Kelley, who had been working with Mrs. Dineen at ShoreWay Acres’ front desk since 1969, became Green Harbor’s Resident Manager in 1971. He and his wife, Paula, managed this seasonal property for the Dineens while living on-premises and raising their sons Shawn, Troy and Todd. Shawn worked with his parents on a full-time basis until 2010 when he began his missionary work in Cameroon. The Kelleys warmly welcomed Green Harbor’s wonderful guests as their own for more than four decades. Following the 2014 season, Milt and Paula retired after 43 years of hospitality at Green Harbor and 45 years of service to the Dineen Family and their guests.
